Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actor from Manama, Bahrain and was raised in a multi-ethnic home. Jacqueline's parents are Malaysian and the Sri Lankan. Her father Elroy Fernandez comes from Sri Lanka. There are two brothers as well as one older sister. Due to unrest in Lanka, her parents relocated to Bahrain in the early 1980s. In Australia she was enrolled in Media and Communications at University of Sydney following her graduation from Bahrain. To enhance her passion for different cultures, languages and languages, she joined the Berlitz school of languages, in which she could master Spanish as well as improve French and Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 won Miss Universe 2006 competition in March 2006. She also participated as Miss Universe 2006 also. After winning Miss Sri Lanka in 2006 Padukone was able to begin her work in the world of television. She hosted the television show Lanka Business Report which focused on Sri Lankan Business. Padukone (the daughter of the badminton player Prakash Padukone) was born and grew up in Bangalore. When she was a teenager she competed at national-level badminton competitions, but quit the sport to become a fashion designer. Padukone is a native of Mangalore, India. Her mother tongue Konkani is her mother tongue. Her family tree is rooted in Padukone village, which is located in Kundapura Taluk in the Udupi District in the State of Karnataka, India. The father of her, Prakash Padukone, is a retired badminton player of world-class fame, while her mother is a travel agent.
